Discover Bir Billing
Bir and Billing are really two places. Bir, at around 1,525 m, is a Tibetan settlement village founded in the early 1960s — cafes, monasteries and landing-strip meadows at a gentle pace. Billing, 14 km up and over 800 m higher, is the actual paragliding takeoff point, with expansive Kangra Valley views on a clear day. Most visitors base themselves in Bir and treat Billing as a day trip up and back.
