Chintpurni is a pilgrimage town in Una district built entirely around the Mata Chintpurni Temple, dedicated to Chhinnamasta — one of the ten Mahavidyas and, by tradition, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas of Hindu belief. The site was known by the goddess's own name, Chhinnamastika, before the popular name "Chintpurni" (she who removes worry) took hold. Dharamshalas, guesthouses and a market built for pilgrim flow line the approach to the temple, and the town's two biggest Navratri fairs each year bring its largest crowds.
