Discover Naina Devi
Shri Naina Devi Ji sits on a hilltop in Bilaspur district, high above the Gobind Sagar reservoir formed by the Bhakra Dam. By tradition it is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas of Hindu belief, reached either on foot up a stepped path or by a ropeway to the temple platform. It is often confused with the Naina Devi Temple beside Naini Lake in Nainital, Uttarakhand — a separate shrine with its own, distinct local legend. The Bilaspur temple is the one conventionally counted among the Shakti Peethas.
